This whole Bronco bad habit started in the summer of 1983, I worked my first full summer as a painters helper for our local School District to earn enough money to help pay for my first set of wheels. It was a 1970 Bronco ‘Sport’ that I bought from my Grandfather who owned Harlow’s Auto Repair in Whitefish, Mt. Then in 1984 while some buddies and myself were attending Junior “ditch day,” I had a little mishap with my Father’s 1969 Half cab, I ended up with some front end damage trying to tow a friends car back to town after she had taken out several feet of guardrail at Lake Lahontan. After taking my license and making me pay for the repairs, my parents were pretty cool about the whole thing. On my 17th Birthday they traded my 70 fulltop for their 69 halfcab, and to this day I still have that Bronco.
